Huernia hislopii
The stapeliads in the milkweed family (Asclepiadaceae) have flowers that almost as complex as those of orchids. Few orchids, however, are as bizarre as Stapelias and Huernias; these are the flowers that Salvador Dali should have given as corsages to Gala.
Huernias are among the easiest of the stapeliads to grow. The seed germinates readily and the plants grow quickly. The only difficulty is finding them.
